대구한의대, 학교기업 지원사업 선정!
기린허브테크 5년간 12억5천만원 지원받아

대구한의대학교 학교기업인 기린허브테크가 교육과학기술부 ‘2010년도 학교기업 지원사업’ 대상에 선정돼 5년간 총 12억5천만원을 지원받게 됐다.
기린허브테크는 이번 지원금을 학생 현장실습비·시설기자재 구입비·운영비 등으로 사용할 계획이다.
지난 2004년 설립된 대구한의대 기린허브테크는 대학 내에 위치한 국가지원 연구센터인 한방생명자원연구센터, 한방산업지원센터, 한약자원 향장 소재은행 등 한의학의 우수한 연구인프라를 바탕으로, 한방소재의 유효성을 과학적으로 확인해 한방 기능성화장품, 건강기능성식품, 의약외품 등의 연구개발에 주력하고 있다.
특히, 전국 최초 학교기업1호로 한방화장품을 출시한 이래 32개의 한방화장품 제품을 출시했으며, 특허 2건, 특허출원 3건 등의 성과를 올린 바 있다.
2008년부터 한의학의 대표적인 원방인 ‘경옥고’를 현대과학으로 발전시킨 한방 기능성화장품, 건강음료 등을 출시했고, 복합 생약 추출물을 함유하는 탈모 방지 및 발모 촉진 효과를 갖는 샴푸 및 헤어토닉을 개발해 식품의약품안정청으로부터 의약외품으로 승인을 받기도 했다.
권기찬 학교기업센터장는 “한방소재에 대한 지속적인 연구개발로 한방신약, 한방 기능성 화장품, 한방 기능성 식품 개발을 통한 지역 한방산업 육성에 기여하는 한방 산업 전문기업으로 선장할 계획.”이라고 밝혔다.
