옥곡초, 학교 급식소 새단장!
시설 현대화사업 통해 안전하고 질 높은 급식 제공

옥곡초등학교(교장 손병기)가 식생활교육관(급식소)을 새단장했다.
옥곡초는 2022 학교급식 시설 현대화 학교로 지정돼 지난 7월부터 식생활교육관 현대사업에 착공해 지난달 공사를 마무리했다.
이번 현대화 사업을 통해 2005년에 개교 후 17년이 된 노후 급식 시설, 설비 및 기구, 식당 등을 새롭게 개선해 앞으로 안전하고 질 높은 급식을 제공할 수 있게 됐다.
특히, 급식소 내 작업 구역을 구분해 교차오염과 같은 식중독 위험성을 낮추고, 가스 기반 급식기구를 전기 기반으로 교체해 조리종사원의 건강 위험도 줄였다.
손병기 교장은 “조리종사원들이 더 안전하고 쾌적한 환경에서 작업할 수 있어 다행이고, 한층 나아진 환경만큼 아이들이 매일 먹는 급식을 통해 더 밝고 건강한 어린이로 자라났으면 좋겠다.”고 말했다.
