경산경찰서(서장 이종섭)는 22일 진량읍 행정복지센터에서 진량지역 7개 자율방범대와 소통 설명회를 가졌다.

이날 소통 설명회는 내년 4월 28일부터 시행 예정인 ‘자율방범대 설치 및 운영에 관한 법률’에 따라 공단, 주거지, 대학가가 공존하는 지역의 특성으로 인해 다수의 자율방범대가 활동하고 있는 진량지역의 예상 문제점을 발굴하기 위해 개최됐다.
소통 설명회에 참석한 이종섭 서장은 “각 단체의 의견을 반영하여 자율방범대가 법 시행 이후에도 시민안전을 위한 단체로 거듭날 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다.”고 말했다.
