- 22일부터 2일간 ‘제1회 경북보드게임 축제’ 개최... 7,000명 찾아

경상북도교육청 경산수학체험센터(센터장 김호상)는 10월 22일(토) 오전10시부터 이틀간 남부미래교육관 경산수학체험센터에서 ‘제1회 경북보드게임 축제’를 개최했다.
이번 축제에는 경북 각지에서 학생, 학부모, 일반인 7,000여명이 찾아 전국 교육기관 최초로 개최되는 축제에 걸맞는 관심을 보여주었다.
이번 보드게임축제에는 경북의 수학교사 57명과 500여명의 학생들이 125종의 체험 부스를 학교별로 운영하였고, 대형 젠가를 비롯한 대형보드게임, 온라인보드게임, 메타버스 방탈출 보드게임을 통해 방문객의 흥미를 극대화하였다. 또한, 원어민 선생님과 함께하는 보드게임 강좌, 시니어를 위한 청춘을 이어주는 보드게임 강좌, 가족과 함께하는 유아 보드게임 강좌, 사각사각 큐브 강좌, 마음을 이어주는 보드게임 심리상담 강의 등 특색있는 특강 및 특별 강좌를 운영하여 세대와 가족을 이어주는 의미있는 프로그램을 진행했다.
또한, 최근 영재교육 프로그램으로 떠오르는 그래비트랙스를 강당에 대규모로 열며 체험존, 이벤트 존 및 대회까지 진행하여 보드게임을 통한 수학의 즐거움을 느껴볼 수 있게 운영했다.

축제에 참여한 한 관람객들은 “수도권이 아닌 지역에서 이렇게 큰 규모의 보드게임 축제를 개최한 것에 놀랍다. 보드게임에 대해 잘 몰랐는데 상당히 교육적인 요소가 많다는 것을 깨달았고, 아이와 함께 할 수 있는 소중한 시간이였다.”며 축제에 큰 만족감을 보였다.
김호상 센터장은 “제1회 경북 보드게임축제를 성황리에 개최하여 수학이 주는 다양한 즐거움을 경험하고 보드게임의 교육적 요소를 크게 알리는데 기여할 수 있어 기쁘게 생각한다. 앞으로도 경산수학체험센터는 겨울방학 특집프로그램, 수학기획전 등 다양한 프로그램을 통해 즐거운 수학으로 다가가겠다.”고 밝혔다.
