▲ 경산시가 도시농업 프로그램을 홍보하기 위해 제작한 씨드스틱
경산시는 시민들이 원예체험을 통해 손쉽게 도시농업을 접할 수 있도록 홍보용 씨드스틱을 제작 배부한다.
씨드스틱은 심지 않고 손쉽게 꽂아서 키울 수 있는 초간단 식물로 제품에 표시돼 있는 선까지 배양 토에 꽂아준 후에 물을 주면 씨앗이 발아한다.
시는 연중 진행하는 도시농업 관련 체험행사 및 교육프로그램을 홍보하기 위해 바질과 레몸밤 등 2종의 씨드스틱 1,000개를 제작해 8월 1일부터 소진 시까지 경산시농업기술센터와 읍·면·동 농업인상담소를 통해 시민들에게 무료 배부한다.
이진숙 농촌진흥과장은 “씨드스틱을 집 화분으로 키워 본 시민들이 도시농업에 친숙하게 다가갈 수 있는 계기가 될 것.”이라며, “앞으로 다양한 원예체험과 도시농업교육 프로그램을 시민들에게 제공해 집에서도 가능한 도시농업을 확산시켜 나아갈 것.”이라고 밝혔다.
