7일 새벽 1시 56분께 경산시 압량읍 당음리 소재 앨범·사진액자 제작 업체 공장에서 화재가 발생했다.
소방당국은 화재 신고를 접수하고 장비 15대, 인력 36명을 투입해 진화작업에 나섰고, 이날 오전 8시께 불을 완전히 진압했다.
소방당국에 따르며 이번 화재사고로 인명피해는 발생하지 않았으나 공장 1동(990㎡)과 차량 1대, 공장 내 설비 및 장비 등이 불에 타 소방서 추산 4억원의 재산피해가 났다.
현재, 소방당국은 경찰과 함께 정확한 화재 원인을 조사하고 있다.
