- 경북도·산타클라라 한인상공회의소, 메타버스로 스타트업 양성 MOU
- 미국 진출을 위한 스타트업 창업 글로벌 리더십 아카데미 운영

경상북도는 1월 26일(목) 산타클라라 한인상공회의소와 “실리콘밸리 스타트업 아카데미 경북 MOU”를 개최하고, 양 기관 간 스타트업과 해외 VC, AC들과의 교류협력 방안을 논의하는 한편, 우리 지역 스타트업의 해외 진출을 위하여 협력하기로 했다.
특히 이번 행사는 한국과 미국이라는 물리적 거리 제약을 뛰어넘어 ‘메타버스 수도 경북’에 걸맞게 경북도청 전정과 미래창고를 배경으로 한 가상공간에서 메타버스로 진행되었으며, 이철우 도지사, 방호열 산타클라라 한인상공회의소 회장, 상공회의소 임원, 기관 관계자 등 16명이 아바타로 참석했다.
이번 협약은 스타트업 교육 프로그램을 통하여 글로벌 CEO를 양성하고, 도내 기업의 글로벌 VC ? AC와의 협업 및 네트워킹을 통한 성공적인 해외 진출을 위해 마련되었으며 창업교육 및 글로벌 리더십 아카데미 개최, 경북 소재 스타트업과 해외 AC·VC와의 투자 연계 플랫폼 구축, 차세대 글로벌 인재 육성을 위한 벤치마킹, 국제박람회, 세미나 지원을 주요 내용으로 하고 있다.
